My Alaskan Adventure

Yesterday was officially my last day in Tuscaloosa. It was a very tearful goodbye, and a rough drive home. I leave for Skagway on April 28th at 7:30am; I arrive there at 1:30pm on April 29th. I’ve heard the weather is abnormally fabulous this week. With my luck it will be gone once I get there. A pessimist much? Why yes, that’s me! I tend to be such a wet blanket sometimes. I’m having trouble packing; the guideline for fitting everything in my large suitcase is 50lbs, which I think I’m a pound over. We’ll see how that actually works out at the airport. I’m probably going to send a few items in a box. Speaking of which my address is as follows:

Now, isn’t that just simple? I’m not positive if I’m going to get myself a P.O. box once I get there. I have so many reservations, and questions that won’t be answered for a few days. The best advice I’ve gotten in awhile is “have patience”, which was given by an inebriated boy drooping over in the seat in front of me. I always find it somewhat humorous what our minds select to remember.

It’s hard to come home once you’ve lived on your own for a while. Nothings ever the same. I’ve been finding myself tremendously frustrated and ill tempered. Thank god that I do have wonderful loving parents to store all my belongings. Packing has gotten me excited about home decorating again. Once I return from Alaska I’m excited about buying a new couch. Today I’ve found myself drooling over Bronwyn Keenan’s home from an old Nylon Magazine:











A list of a few things I want to learn to do in the next year:
I want a garden
I want to learn how to brew beer
I want to learn how to knit
I want to finish at least ten books this summer. (I've started We The Living)
